Live Data Sources & Provenance
We think you should be able to see exactly where every number on this site comes from and how fresh it is. Here is every live source we use, what it powers, and its refresh cadence. All external sources below are free and public; we add no affiliate or sponsored data.

DefiLlama
Protocol TVL, audit links, and DeFi category on the Project Health panel; the /stablecoins dashboard (USD-normalised circulating supply); token-unlock schedules.
Messari
Sector / sub-sector / tag classification chips on coin pages.
Mempool.space
Bitcoin network fees + difficulty adjustment on the Bitcoin page, and the block height behind the halving countdown.
Blockscout
Ethereum network statistics (gas, throughput) on the Ethereum page.
Coinpaprika
Fallback source for global market stats and per-coin prices if CoinGecko is briefly unavailable (identity-checked before use, never persisted to our history).

Alternative.me
The Crypto Fear & Greed Index tile on the homepage and /markets.
Our own moat time-series (Postgres)
The BTC/ETH dominance history chart and long-range (90d/1y/max) price history are served from data this site has captured and stored itself every 15 minutes since July 2026 — not re-fetched from a third party.
Editorial content is separately sourced: every coin, learn topic, and scam page cites primary sources, and the machine-readable overview lives at /api/openapi.json. For our review process, see Methodology and Editorial Standards.
